Why Measure Moisture?
Knowing the amount of moisture in your product is important to understanding your drying process. Because water content can vary, it is important to understand that all of the other measurements we perform are based upon the weight of the sample, including the water weight. If the water weight changes over time, it will change the potency, heavy metal content, pesticide levels, etc. In addition, too much moisture may lead to fungus and mold growth upon storage and may affect the shelf life of your product.
What is Moisture Analysis?
Moisture analysis will tell you how much water is present in your sample. Nevada regulations allow for up to 15% water on a weight percent basis.
Our scientists will measure the amount of moisture present in the cultivated leaves and buds for each of your lots and will present those results on a weight percent (w/w) basis.
